We went to Waraku at heeren. Quite a nice place and they are able to tolerate our nonsenses and noisiness. Haha!

Whao!Had been 3 months since I last blog...Haha...too many things happened and too little time..

The Oink Oink Swine Flu...

Well, this swine flu thingy really brought many changes to my daily life on both good and bad sides....

Good:
Dance may be cancelled!Hooray!
Fanciful face mask to cover my ugly face!

Bad:
Have to move from my small office Big seat to the big main office with small seats....
Have to do many outpatients.....
Have to cancel my HK trip as I work in hospital...Haiz...if not I will have to self isolate for 7 days with my own AL! There goes my $400 for air tickets and hotel....haiz....haizz...haizzzz......
Have to wear mask and suffocate myself...
Have to wear a yellowish gown...
Have to take temperature everyday....
Have to ....Have to ....Have to....

Haiz...apparently there are more bad sides to it than the good sides.
But well...jus focus on the good sides and give thanks ba!Hee...Life will be better that way...Haha

Well, another day of dance rehersal and this time round at least got some progress...we manage to dance till 23secs of the songs liao...Haha!Here are some of the photos!

New Keyboard!

I finally got my own keyboard from ebay!!!
Paid $140 for it.
But the bad thing is...it does not contains an adapter...The owner said this keyboard did not come with the adapter right from the start when she bought it....
But well...nvm la.

Really have to thanks Tyan Tyan for accpompanying me all the way there to collect the keyboard in AMK.

The owner was quite nice.After we went inside her house, she offered us drinks and even gave me a small trolley to pull the keyboard back.

Despite these helps, I still had a hard time bringing it back...cos I stay in Tampines...so far far away sia...Haha
Hence, I carried it up and down to reach AMK mrt station to take train to Khatib mrt station.
Then I hugged the keyboard all the way up the bridge and down to take bus 969...by that time, my shirt is totally wet with sweat sia...

When boarding the bus...horror came!
Everything seems to fall apart!haha..
Hence I am carrying 4 things (Keyboard, trolley, bicycle hook and wallet) at the same time!
Gosh...so super crumsy sia..haha!
With much effort, I manage to get a seat...phew!
When I finally got home, I felt so tired...but it's a happy tiredness.haha!
Felt such great satisfaction of achievement to have brought this heavy thing all the way back without having to take a cab.Haha!

Anyway, signed up for the Keyboard course with Zhuo Wei, at the Believer Music website.
Gonna start my lessons on 20th May.
So exciting sia...If after the classes still cannot play then will cry lor...cos total spending $300 plus for the course.
So for this keyboard thingy, I spend ard $500...so must learn hard!Otherwise will waste all my hard earn money liao..Haha..

Argh....I just cant believe it!!!
I missed this year Ben and Jerry Free Cones day yesterday!!!!
Bobian...Gotta give a talk in a centre...cant even take leave to attend this special occasion.

So super sad...
Had been going for this Free Cone day for 3 years straight!
And I gotta miss this year one....sobsob...the cow must me missing me so badly...

Anyway, after the talk...
Went to this Hannabi Japanese Resturant with my famil to celebrate my mum's bday...
It's a buffet diner....gosh...another event to make me fat..Haha.
But quite enjoy the dinner and the stuff is NICE!

After that, went to eat dessert at 老香港 which is just beside....

Overall, great dinner but just tiring...Haha..
and I again don't have any photos until my brother pass it to me...

Went for the dance practise again last thursday...and oh gosh...they had changed the song...
Look at the video..they tell me to act as the host... -.-"

Think I am going to die as I have serious psychomotor retardation and cannot coordinate properly...and I am the only guy...so the dance will be more like a joke than a dance...haha.
Already shoot out ideas such as hiring cheerleading groups to do the show instead or changing it to a all girls song (then i can escape from this hell...)..but well..all effort are in vain...think like gotta just dive into it and make a joke out of myself liao...as always...haha

Anyway, went for a run in the evening again around IMH..and the timing is 25:07 mins.
So happy about the improvement...but after the run really feel like dying...Haha..and the fats around my tummy seems to be still there and is totally ignorant to my effort to trying to get rid of it...argh...

Then went gym and badminton with peixiang, weicai, william and kobe...
As a constant loser...I did lotsa push ups again..Haha..
I may not be skillful enough to beat them in the game, but I am strong enough to take on the push ups!So come on man!Let's fight again!!!!Hee

After that went Macdonald to eat my favorite double cheeseburger with peixiang and weicai...so yummy....but so unhealthy after exercise...no wonder my fats are still there...Haha!

Reached home around 12am then I started packing for the trip to Melaka on the next day...

$1085 lor!!!! Then now then they tell me!Making me pay $98.01 more!

Altogether have to pay $1183.01. Heart attack sia!!!!More than half of my pay just gone like that!!!!!
T_T.....

Think really have to eat grass till all my loans are clear liao...but when old loans are cleared, new loans will come lor....when can I get out of the poverty cycle sia....AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

Expenses are really building up ....
$750 every month to return study loan from bank

$50 handphone
$4 per lunch=>at least $120 per month...just for lunch!

$150 insurance....(Don't know pay for what!As if I die liao I can get the money...and i think the amount I pay out if more than what my loved ones will get after I died lor....)

Good Friday till Easter....

Whao...Although it's suppose to be a long weekend...it ended up even more tiring than my normal work days.Haha!But well, all these are happily tired,So still worth it...hee.

Good Friday

Went to church right in the morning and Calista agreed to join me for Good Friday service on that day!
Hooray!
But well..we have to sit on the 4th level and the 3rd level is full....so it's like watching a black and white television throughout the whole service...

After that went to Marina Square for lunch and ate Carls Junior where it's buger is not junior size at all...SO BIG la! But i think it's already smaller than before...

After the filling lunch, me,zhifeng, Calista, Cosina and Wila went to the new shopping centre in bugis.
We had been procrastinating to whether want to go or not as the rain was pouring down like "SKY DIAHORREA"...and Calista's beautiful shoe cannot be wet as the ink might smurge...
Zhifeng then say just have faith and just go to Bugis and the sky will be cleared.
Amazing thing is that really thank God that the rain really stopped after we reached!Haha!
Really like Moses open red sea.haha
Wanted to watch "The Sniper", but no tickets, so in the end watched "12 rounds".
The movie is not bad la...quite exciting storyline and clever plot.

After that went to Colin's birthday at Minds Cafe in Boat Quay. Had a few rounds of games and went to St James for some KTV and a drink.

Saturday...

Woke up at 11 and then realised that I have not make a feedback form for Street Evangelism later.
So done feedback form, got to church and went for Street Evangelism.
While we were on our way to our sites to our respective street evangelism area, there is no rain.
However, it poured down heavily when we reached our sites and started finding ppl to share what easter is. SO AMAZING!!!!Cos the rain trapped many ppl in the shelter area, giving us more chances to share with people.Haha.
And when we were ready to leave and return to church, THE RAIN STOPPED!Thank God sia!Otherwise we will all be 落汤鸡 already.Haha...
but till now I still haven had anything in my stomach...So hungry...

Then after street evangelism, got Antioch's prayer meeting...So all the way till 930pm then I can have a bite on something...Hope all these can make me thinner ba.Haha!

Well...alot of people had been asking me what have I been doing lately...

Recently, I have been trying to learn some new stuffs...
One of it is PIANO!!!

Most of the keys are spoilt (press down and won't come up) and out of tune..argh...

The book I bought to self taught

Well...
Before this, I had already known that I cannot follow beat and have psychomotor problem...
After trying to learn, it just confirmed my weaknesses....Haha..
But since I got abit of time, so think will carry on trying and learn as far as possible ba.

My dear occupational therapist Zhou Wei has agreed to go Believemusic to learn keyboard with me!!!
Hooray!So excited about the course!
Hopefully after paying $300 plus, I able to play abit of songs for children worship or such ba.

The second thing that I am learning is THAI!!!
Had studied level 1 in NUS...and thinking since I have the resources, might as well carry on learning and maybe one day I can use in mission trips in Thailand.

Reviving blog....

As an delibrate effort to revive my pathetic blog,
I shall work hard and be consistent in my blogging...
So I am going to just blog about what ever things regardless significant or not
whenever I remembers it and have the time.haha.

Anyway, after work yesterday, went jogging...and for 3 rounds around my beloved workplace,
I manage to hit 26:26mins. HOORAY!haha...10 secs faster than my timing last week...
Aiming to get to 25mins for the tiring upslopes/downslopes/turn here/turn there 4.8Km rounds!!!!

After that, I hit the gym and go to play badminton with my 师傅 Kobe, dragonboater Weicai and Wang Lee Hom look-alike PeiXiang.
But well, expectedly...I was trashed till jialat jialat.
Even before Kobe and Weicai came, Peixiang already trashed me for 4 rounds, pumping me with 80 push ups ...
After the rest came...all the other punishments came rushing to me...
working me out worse than army training....Haha.
Must really train up liao.....such that I can tahan all the push ups and stuff after losing...
think that will be much easier than training up to beat them in the game..
cos they are too pro in it liao..haha!

Anyway, went for this dance practice for the medical social worker 60th anniversary symposium today and saw my old classmates Diana and Christine!!!
So excited to see familiar faces over there.
But sad thing is they are part of the organising team and not gg to dance with me...sadded...Hahaa.
Think we gonna dance with the song "Welcome to the 60's" from the Movie "Hairspray".

Quite a fun song and quite appropiate for our 60th anniversary.
But hopefully they will only need girls to do the dance such that I can be left out of it ba.haha...

Ok...This blog had been dead for nearly half a year..So I think I shall just revive it for a while before Gary delete my blog from his "Friends' Blog" Column.Haha..

Well...for this period of time, the event that worth blogging about shld be the keihl's event from 03/04/09- 08/04/09 ba.

I only worked two days (Fri and sunday)..but already tired enough.Haha.
Poor GJ worked for 5 days then got heat strokes...there goes our weekly badminton game..Haha

But still quite fun la to ask people to try our products, treat people drink orange juice, invite people to take photos..and did a bit of MCing on sunday too...haha..(Think i had talked crap in public sia..don't even know wat I was talking about.Haha..

Well, for now may be to wait for William to upload the photos then I can jus cut and paste to put it here ba...the laziest way of blogging :P

Sorry guys!Haha!So long nv blog liao.Thought i am abadoning this blog already rite?Haha.Had been so busy going out la.Tat's y no time to blog too.hee

Anyway, gonna share with you all about my 1st day of work.

My 1st day of work gave me a really big shock. All along I was told that I would be entering to the child and adolescent department to do some outreach work.Therefore, the supervisors and such briefed me about the children programs and make me mentally prepared for the job.

Then, the shock came in. A lady from the Psycho Geriatric department, which means the elderly department, handed in a resignation today and therefore there is a place there that needed a social worker urgently.

Hence, the supervisors had a meeting and decided to ask me would I mind to change to the elderly department instead. Although my passion may not be in elderly, seeing that all the timings of events fitted so well coincidently, I believed that God is trying to plan things out for me. So, I accepted the offer to go to the elderly department.Maybe it's Lesson 1 for my obedience to God.Haha.

The staffs there are all very nice and welcoming. My office is a ward that contains 4 people including me.Haha.And one of them is a same batch course mate with me.Phew.So gald to have someone I know to work with.hee.

Since this is my 1st day, everything is still quite slack for me.But I know my slacking time will not be long as I see my fellow colleagues was busy like mad while I was just sitting around reading.haha.

The situations that the patient are in may be saddening.However, I am happy that I am in a position that is able to do something and improve their quality of life.It is far much better than knowing about the existence of these situations but not being able to do anything at all.

China trip- Day 2

This day we went for a tour on the East line of Xi'an.
We were so excited for the trip that we all woke up too early and therefore got time to go walk walk in the neighborhood. As it was the earthquake period.Alot of people chose to sleep in the park instead to play safe.

A man carrying his mattress back home, and people behind cleaning the litters left behind.

Anyway, we had breakfast and tried their 肉夹膜。It is call 肉夹膜 instead of 膜夹肉 is because it is 肉夹于膜。Like that also can rite?Haha!

The Wan ton soup we drank.

The 锅贴. So oily sia.Haha!

First location of the trip, we went to 西安事变地点，and learnt about the histroy of how 蒋介石 was forced to cooperate with the 解放军 to fight against the Japanese during second world war.

This is the place that put their weapons and train their soldiers.

This is the place where 蒋介石 hid when he was chased by the 解放军.

The wall craved the whole story of the 西安事变.

Next, we went to a temple to see the 舍利子.It was said that this is the bone of the skull of the Buddha. Obviously it is the fake version.The real version had to spent another 100RMB just to go in and see. Weicong and Yuan Ern went in to see the real one and was persuaded to donate money to the temple. Weicong gave 400RMB lor!!!!Phew, lucky I din go in.Hahaa!
These are the two creatures that protected the Buddha.But come to think of it, how come Buddha also needed things to protect him?Hmmm....
Anyway, it was said that touching different parts of it can be benefited one.

Guys should touch this.

Ladies should touch this.

For me, I touched the nose that should give me more money and the thights that should give me 桃花运.Tried, Tested, but till now still does not seems to be working.Haha.
Before lunch, we went to this jade shop claiming that they would be the only one that sell the genuine jade with gurantee too. I bought a pair of jade for my mummy.It is called the 丝绸玉 that has around 70-90% similarity as they are make from the same stone.
Lunch finally and I managed to try the Dog Meat!!!Not fantastically nice la.But still edible.Haha!

Finally, we can go to the Highlight of the day, 兵马俑!!!

This is the person that found the 兵马俑.

And the signature that he wrote on every book.

Found this poster along the way that my friend say look like me.haha!So took a picture with it too.
Lastly, we went to 华清池.The place where many emperors took their bath in before.

This is the garden that the emperor brought the empress 杨玉环 to拍拖 every night.

Our turn to try and play with the 温泉水.Said to be able to smoothen your skin and treat any skin disease.

Before we went to buy tickets for the trip to inner mongolia the next day, we went past the 城墙　of the 古城.

At night, we went to walk around the 钟楼　ａｎｄ　鼓楼.So nice at night rite?
We also ate the 牛羊泡馍. Din really suit my taste cos abit bland and like eating soaking bread.haha!

China Trip-Day 1

Yeah!Finally back to Singapore already. Although i still miss the travelling, but i do miss everyone in Singapore too.hee.

Here is the sharing for my China trip:

On my day 1, I had to crawl out of my bed to reach airport at 6pm. Can die rite?haha!

Anyway, took a photo while waiting for our flight.

And guess wat, we saw Leon too!He was on a trip to Vietnam.

After our plane touched down in Guang Zhou Airport, we were kana pulled into a tea buffet for lunch. Blame it all to stupid male hormones that got us cheated by some pretty young waitress that managed to convince us to get into the shop. It cost us ard 70RMB(ard S$14). For ordering a tea, we get to enjoy the buffet.Sound stupid rite?More like you pay for the buffet and get the tea of your choice.

Anyway, I got myself a Jasmine tea which have quite a nice fragrance.

But the buffet was quite sucky. Not very great tasting too.

But still, the girls are pretty la. So maybe that made up for the lousy food.hee. But I din dare to take pictures of them,scare kana beated up.Haha!So in the end take photos of ourselves instead.

Anyway, Weicong bought a bubble tea too while waiting for the plane in the airport. And this is a warning...Never ever buy or drink bubble tea in the airport!!!It cost him 38RMB (S$7.60) and it was the most disgusting bubble tea you would had ever tried. Disgusting!REALLY DISGUSTING!!!But Wei Cong spent so much on it.He cant bear to just leave it there too.So bobian, he drank till he wana vomit out.Haha...
Well, in the end, we finally touched down in Xi An. So scary when we reached the city. Alot of people crowd around you and ask you where you want to go and such. So much touting!So 3 of us just walk fast fast away from them but in the end dunno where shld we go or stay.Haha!

So finally we went to this tourism advice centre. Been referred to a nice hotel called "关中酒店". They used Chinese Designs for their furniture and the room is really nice.It's only RMB188 (S$37.60) per nite.Really worth it. It was in a great location too. In 东大街 and very near the city area.

For dinner, we just grab some 串烧 and snack on the street to fill our stomach.But my goodness.The food there are so super duper hot and spicy.Can really burn my toungue off.Haha. But still a nice experience la.

Ok,that's all for today,stay on for more updates tml ba.I still have a life to lead on.Haha.

Wah, holiday really make me very lag and lazy to blog sia.haha!Everyday go out.

Anyway,yesterday went to Vivo with James, William and Sarah.Had so much fun!Suppose to have more of the Kiehl's people.But they pangsei again.Haha!Maybe too last minute ba.

This is the amount of food 4 of us eat.So much rite?haha!

After our tummy bulging dinner, we carry on to BEN & JERRY!!!!William won 3 pints of ice creams so we all shared it.

So many flavours...had a hard time choosing

Yeah!!! The Chronicles of Narnia 2- Prince Caspian‏ is finally out liao! This is really the long waited show sia. This is a movie set with a Christian theme. The 1st movie was about sacrification and salvation.So, what 's the 2nd movie gonna talk about?Can't wait to find out...

Why I would like to catch this movie:

I like watching movies. Especially movies that have subtle meanings behind that leaves you thinking about it after the movie. The Chronicles of Narnia is really fascinating and that each characters and events in the movies represented some significant meanings and theories that C.S Lewis wanted to share with the world. Furthermore, these are brought out in a very interesting way through the showcase of fantasies and mythical characters. It is really one movie that I look forward to alot!

Sorry sorry sorry!

Had been quite busy going out and tired and lazy everyday that I din have much time to blog.Haha!

So here I am back finally.Hee.Anyway, went to get my vaccines finally. Got the Influenzer and the Typhiod jabs. One at each arm. Dunno why both arms seemed to have muscle ache after some time and very hard to lift up sia.But i am glad that I din cry while taking the jab anymore.Haha!Finally Grown up liao.Phew....

Anyway, went to eat dinner at Just Noodles with Kiehl's friends again today.Suppose to have over 10 people.Then alot of ppl last minute pangsei. Got to accp girlfriend la, mum got cook la , this and that la.Haha!So in the end left four of us.

Although only left four of us, we still had a very great time though. Played some games and my "some games" usually meant Sleeping Queen again.Haha!Wat would life be without it.Haha!

It's so cool that they are serving free flow ice cream now instead of that awful tasting jelly they served last time.Great Job!So worth it. Drank a few cups of root beer floats with ice creams.Super nice!Hee.

Ok, gtg liao. Must rest more and ready for more fun tml!haha!

Grace for Asia!

Just finished work....Tired, sleepy and have to wake up early tommorrow.So will not be blogging much. But will share with you all a super duper nice story that our church sunday school teacher shared today...

Teacher Daniel Soh shared with us at Sunday school today a miracle which happened in China.The Organization is called "Grace for Asia".

This Pastor, Ben Brown is the Pastor of International Baptize Church in Singapore and a member of the organisation to distribute bibles. He went along with the team to distribute 352 bibles in a church in Shang Dong and yet another 310 bibles in another church.

They went through tedious application process and even at the custom, they were checked. The Chinese authority wanted to ensure that the team only brought 352 and 310 bibles and nothing more.

When Ben Brown arrived at the first church, he was told that there were already 600+ people waiting outside the church for the bibles. Ben Brown told the church he had only applied and brought the 352 bibles. And they had no alternative but decided to just distribute whatever they had... They started to distribute the bibles.

When they only had around 80 bibles left, Ben Brown and the team knew that they just had to disappoint the 81th person and onwards. And as they carried on giving out the bibles, they realised ALL THE 600+ PEOPLE IN THE QUEUE RECEIVED THE BIBLES.

And you won't believe this... there were not 12 baskets left like in the 5 loaves and 2 fishes story, BUT there was actually one bible left. They closed the church door when one woman knocked on the door. She banged and knocked and claimed that she came from another town far away and must receive the bible today. She explained that her bus was delayed and therefore she wasn't able to come any earlier.

You guessed it, the final bible was meant for her. She received the last bible.

The bibles went through the custom check and the number of bibles (352) was VERIFIED by the Chinese authority. So what happened? 5 loaves and 2 fishes...

Pastor Ben Brown went on to the next church with the 310 bibles this time round. Now, the queue was with 500+ people.

They did the same thing and thought to themselves, one miracle was good enough. They distributed the bibles without much delay and ALL THE 500+ PEOPLE RECEIVED THE BIBLES!

Ben Brown and the team could not have done anything else except for kneeling down in front of the LORD and cried and praised Him.

Miracle in 2008 touches me a lot. I couldn't help but praise the Lord for His goodness.

Our Almighty Lord is the living God who is still performing His miracles in our daily life. Observe carefully and before long you will know lots of miracles have happened in your life...

He is good all the time! Amen!

Today went for Tampines Polyclinic again.Make me so mad....the whole process took so long, make me go up and down. In the end only manage to get my blood drew to screen for Hep B. When i get to the room to take vaccines, they tell me their flu vaccines are out of stock!My gdness!Wasted my $20 plus bucks and at least 2 hours sia...Make me late for work too.I hate being late for work.

Anyway, worked for an Argan Oil Promotion at Tangs Orchard today.

Let me tell you what it is all about...

Post Exam Lunch

This morning, went to Tampines polyclinic wanting to take my vaccines for my China trip. Got there around 10.30am. And you know what? I waited so super duper long and only got registered at around 11.45am! The small indian lady doctor only get to see me for around 3minutes at around 1pm!

My gdness.....everything is so super slow.Felt that my time had been wasted so much. Then the doctor still tell me to go for lunch 1st and come back and find the travellers clinic for the injections at 2pm because they are all eating lunch. I am suppose to meet my frens at 1.30pm lor!So bobian. Told her I will be coming back for the injection tml instead. Wasted so much of my time and my $8.70 for a 3minute consultation.Argh....Bobian...poor people like me are like tat, die die have to squeeze to Polyclinic cos is cheaper anyway.

Well, Finally I reached Fish and Co at Dhoby Gaut and meet up with my social work friends.

After that, we went to another cafe to chill out. You know there's actually a cafe at the 3rd level of OG called the HEMISPHERE CAFE ?This is the 1st time I go there sia. Thanks Gideon for bringing us there!So suprised got a place like that. Quite a nice and cool place to chill out...

ROAR!!!!Finally finished the exam that ends all my exams in my 18 years of torturable educations...Can't fully express my joy in it. How long had I waited for this moment. Although there are work and career infront of me, I would rather take it as they are more practical and at least make changes in the society. Whatever I learnt in JC and Secondary School, I would honestly say that I had forgotten all. Before I go study for my next paper, Shall faster blog 1st.Haha...

Anyway, Had my SW 3217 paper today.It's about mental illness and social work. My gdness, I there goes flunk another exam again.Haha...The questions had so many parts and each part required so many points.In the end, not enough time to write. Sian....The 1st question I already spent more than 1 hour answering...rushed like mad. Thought my hand will fly out or 抽筋 lor.

My friend even more finally. He also not enough time to write. So at the end, he just put 2 words for that question "System theory" then put a smilely face behind it. Think he planned to charm the marker to give him a higher score ba.Haha!

Another thing I wanted to say is, I bought a new Shampoo. It's called MAXIMO Rebalancing Shampoo. Very prestiges kind of shampoo,cause sold in jean yip only. You all know I quite concern for my hair loss problem. So hopefully it can curb the problem ba. My friend told me it is ard $20. But when i see it, I got a shock of my life!It cost $28 lor!His around is really a very big round sia.Hahaa..

Anyway, back to study liao...dun need to wish me good luck. Pray for me ba. Cause I believe in God more than luck.Haha!

Sorry for the long overdue posts!!!Actually not very overdue la..everything happened just yesteday.Hee...

Anyway, 2nd of May is our Li Er aka Ah Ma 's 大寿(Birthday)! So since I going for the same talk with her, How can I not be filial rite? So I treated her to Jack's Place at Marine Parade...

I ordered a catfish and steak combo....Catfish no taste...but steak still alrite

William ordered a Lamb Chop with spagettie set, but the person come with the wrong order and gave him Lamb Chop with fries. ..

Li Er Ordered a Chicken with Steak Combo.Her is best...cos nothing goes wrong.Maybe that's the lucky thing about birthday girl ba.haha!

After the meal, Something funny happened. When we were out of the Jack's Place, the waitress came running after William. And we all thought she was in love with him and wanted to take his phone number. Well...apparently it's not. William was still holding on to Jack's place's glass of water while walking out and talking at the same time. None of us noticed until the waitress rushed out and asked for the glass...Haha!So paisei but yet so funny!Haha

Anyway, Ming Ru come and meet us and we all went for the talk by 林以诺牧师.
The talk was fantastic. But the crowd was abit disappointing. Suppose to have ard 800 seats.But only around 200 people turns up.Think the publicity wasn't done very well ba. We also only got the notice about the talk one week before. Too rush for most people and many many more who did not even know about it.

The church was super big and super nice...So we took a group photo there too.Hee.

Phew...another fruitful day with entertainments packed back to back...was so late and tired after I got home.So only posting it in the moring.Haha!

Went for this Perspective talk organised by Singapore Youth For Christ. They talked about how did the Bible come by and about the relationships between the human laws and divine laws and how these affect us. Quite a mind challenging talk that put us new on the perspective.

Ben & Jerry Free Cone Day!!!

Yay!Today was Ben & Jerry Free Cone Day!!!Waited for one whole year for this!Haha...

Last year, Me and my friends managed to eat 6 ice cream!!!!Really eat till wana vomit sia...So this year I smarter liao...know how to control and eat....4..Whahaa...

Went to meet Ka Hei and Jo at 3pm...

Saw a couple of friends there too...

Angela and Us (She went to Raffles Place after the 1st round.Which We think is a wrong move.Cos by the time she got there, we would already be having our second ice cream liao.Haha!)...

Saw our pretty ballet dancer Yue Tong...(She is so funny.Just to avoid the queue, she went to spent $4.90 to buy a cone on Free Cones Day!!!Haiz...rich people...money can really buy time sia.Haha!)

My secondary School Friend...

Saw JunLin and Ho Wai too...But din get to take picture with them.Cos I was too busy having my macdonald lunch while queuing up for the ice cream.Haha!

When me and my brother decided that we still haven have enough....

We ate the big one too...

In the evening, I met up with the Kiehl's Gang (Gary, Edwin, William, Gary's GF and Edwin's cousin) and ate 2 more ice creams!!!

Think my mouth opened too big...can fit in 2 ice cream at the same time.Haha!

Eat till our mouth all dirty...

So in the end, I ate 1 Chocolate therapy, 1Strawberry, 1 New York Fudge and 1 Chunky Monkey..Total 4!!!Hooray!Well, This is going to be my last year of eating free cones day from Ben and Jerry already. It's because I am finally graduating. And work timing will not permit me to have time to queue up for this kinda thing.

Last Year and the year before, me and glowing had so many people going for the free cones day!

Well, as years go by, many need to work and study. So more and more people cant make it to Free Cones Day anymore.SO SAD....missed the good old days....

Yun Nan Hair Treatment...

Today was the 1st time going to the famous Yun Nan Jian Fa Zhong Xin...
Saw an advertisment on TV about a free trial...So I gave it a try....

During the analysis, found that my hair are really decreasing....These are the sad findings...
1)Usually a hole shld have around three to four hairs, but mine only have one to two hairs only
2)The space between each hair growth are wider and wider...meaning the hair in between are missing....
3) Alot of stuff clogging up the holes.
4) Oily and sensitive scalp...

And all these added to my hair loss problem...and also add on to the persuading power of the "consultant" to sign up a plan.
Well, about the plan....it was CRAZY!!!!!She told me to go for a 20 times treatment program. the first 10 times will be deep cleansing to get rid of the clogging and the last 10 times then is the real treatment. And you know what!One time treatment cost $145!Usually the one I went for (which honestly not much help la...) cost only $21!Which means, I need to come up with $2900 for the whole treatment!!!!

Crazy rite?So i tell them I am still a poor student and will not be able to afford this kinda expenditure. Then they ask about my family la, whether they can support la, how much I can pay if installment la....ask so much...lucky I am so stubborn that these words wun move me.Haha!So they asked me to go for a 5 times deep cleansing 1st at a cheaper rate for students only. But still $360 for 5 sessions!In order to reject nicely, I said " Wah...my bank now don't even have $360." Haha...smart rite?

So in the end, they let me tried once deep cleansing for free to feel the effect...feel quite good and the hair really seems very clean.But well, I think I am too poor for this still la...
Moreover, got a trial pack of shampoo,conditioner and tonic too!Cool rite?haha.
However, Now then I know that guys with short hair do not need to use conditioners as it will clog up our pores. My gdness!!!!That means I had been cheated all the while la!All along I was taught that washing must follow with a conditioner as the hair will start to split after it touches water. It was all a lie...Guys hair are too short and therefore will not split. Haiz. wasted money for so long now then know.

Anyway, went to meet Janet for lunch after that and know two more of her pretty friends too!Such a nice day.Haha!Then she helped me do a facial sia.So nice of her!But it was so paisei sia as it is at the center forum of paragon and some ppl will look down lor.Haha.But had a great time chatting with her and her friends.

Then met up with William for a free movie "Nim's Island". This is a pay back as I also jio him along when I had a free tix that time. So now is a fair deal.Haha!Saw Xiao Bing too. She is now the photo journalist for mypaper. She was the fastest runner last time in my JC, so cool to see her again sia. Anyway she took a picture of me and William and will be posting it in the mypaper.Haha!You know what, we had to borrow more popcorns from the people around us to act as if they give us alot of popcorns lor.Haha...so next time do not believe in photos in newspaper:"P.

Yeah!Another closer to my exams...which means another closer to my holidays and end of school life. Can't wait to faster end studying. Hate it so much.Haha!

Anyway, Today went church and learnt about trustworthiness and being influential in your work place. So this is what I learnt....

Trustworthy: Honest, reliable, fair, putting God in the first place

There was this illustration that He Xin gave:
There was thisChristian female manager who helped her company to reduce the losses which involves great sum of money. Hence, the big boss gave her a bonus of US4million dollars as a reward.
At the same time, the company was cutting costs on the salary of the staff and having retrenchment. Hence, the female boss rejected the bonus to show a good testimony for Christ.
So if it were you, do you think you will take the money?

During the discussions, these points were raised.
Why accept the money:
1) Can take the money and distribute them to the staff under her as she believed that the work she had done was everyone's effort
2) This is what she deserved
3) By accepting the money, she can show her staff that hard work pays off, so can encourage her staff to work harder to earn bonus too.

Why reject the money:
1) Since the company was still losing money, by rejecting the money, the company could use it to cover the losses and may even reduce the retrenchment and the pay reduction of the staff too.
2) Her staffs were getting retrenched and she still get so much money for a bonus?sure kana scolded and backstab updown left right!
3) Will show the boss that she cared about the welfare of the company and the staff than her only benefits--> gain more trust from her boss
4) Lose repect to the staff
5) want to draw closer to the boss and the staff and maintain a good working relationship in the company and be a good testimony for Christ.
6)Not fair as her staff worked alongside with her too and they did not get the bonus.

Well...although there are much debates about it, and the points seemed to incline towards not accepting the money, I WILL STILL ACCEPT THE MONEY!!!!!WHAHAHAAA!
My gdness la! US 4 million dollars leh!Somemore if the staff really need help, this sum of money can help them too. I don't believe all 3000 of them will have problem and need help at the same time lor!So since only a few might need help, of cos get the money and help them la!Hee..

Today was the 1st day of my exam....and it is horrible.
Almost the most horrible exam that I had ever had. When I asked around hopefully for some smart ppl with some smart answers,I saw realise everyone have different answers .Meaning? Everyone is just as lost as me.

The exam is so difficult that asked so many specific things that you would not be able to answer unless you burnt the book and drank it down your throat. Cant believe I have to do so much for this module that is not even my core!I thought this course should be easy with a project and an mcq. Never did I know, this module involves everything!

From group project to mid term, exams that includes 80 MCQ plus short answer questions and 3 essay questions!My gdness....this kinda course that ppl wana take for a breath and get over with make itself so demanding!Really just hope I can at least get a C+ such that I can S/U it sia.

Ok...enough of complaining about the module liao. Should just give thanks that I have Great friends like Bernard and Esther that accompanied me throughout this shitty module. Without them, this shitty module will really worsen to a LS module for me.

Abyssine Cream Event Day 1!

Great!Another day had passed...Had been again fun but tiring...Haha...

Went to work for keihl's today for the Abyssine cream promotion...

Tell you all something cool about this product...Abyssine is a micro-organism found 3000m below the deep ocean. It survived harsh conditions and therefore by using it as a skin product helps to protect our skin from harsh conditions too.

Then got this new ingredient added to it as well...called Red Corallina. It has self defense system and therefore able to prevent us from aging. It has healing effects too.Hence, It can help to reduce fine lines and Heal our skin...That's where the "Protect, Prevent and Care" comes in for this product.

Anyway, we became like as agogo boy in those "fish tank" sia..Haha...Alot of people laughed at us as we dance, shake and wave to them...

Lucky we really wore a t-shirt and a berms instead of a swimsuit sia..otherwise ppl will really think we are agogo boys..Wearing a flipper and a diving google looked like an idiot...but sure caught alot of attentions sia...totally satisfied my ASD (attention-seeking desire)..Haha...

Even saw some of my friends along the way.And some of them are so paisei to see me...Lucky they din act as if they don't know me..Hahaa!

Anyway, after the long tiring day of work, Kobe PANGSEI us to meet his gf to go for some dinner thing with his family, Weiquan PANGSEI us to fetch his parents from airport and Kai xiang PANGSEI us for jus an excuse of being too tired!!!All bu jiang yi qi one!So in the end only left me, William, Dennis and Zling go eat dinner. AND ZLING TREATED US DINNER!!!So nice of her..hee.Thanks so much again for the dinner(in case you are reading this)!!!hee...

We went to Cafe Cartel in Marina Square. I ate the Pork Chop thingy...wahsei.so super full!I think i can separate the food into 3 meals lor...The portion was so super big.Hahaa!Then we all shared a cheesecake as well...Wanted to take photos of these delicious food.But usually they are like half gone before I took out the camera.So bobian...(No point I take a photo of the empty plate too rite?)

Anyway, today was quite a fruitful day...

Wore the social worker polo tee

and took photos with my gender class mates...they are such a fun bunch of ppl

Queued up for goodie bag by PRU...The things inside are so super good!Got cleanser, food,magazine, drink packets, note packs......and nail polish for my mum.Haha.

Cut it at Esprite Salon..Wahsei, must tell you. The service damn good!The hair washing was so shiok la...got massage the neck somemore.Give me a glass of lemon tea too. Lucky got the $50 voucher. So this hair cut was free!Haha..so happy!The hairstylist that cut my hair is a very nice lady,Tina. She is the leading hairstylist there too. If I dun hav the voucher, I'll have to pay $38 for it sia...Dunno where can I cough out this sum of money if I need it.Haha..

Anyway, There was this shocking things sia!Saw a man..indian or malay ba...He was lying on the ground. Shaking all over with his hand on his head.AND THERE WERE BLOOD SPLATING OUT!!!My Goodness!So shocking man!!1st time see blood splat out like tat!Like squeezing the ketchup packet and see the ketchup fly out like tat!I thought it only happened in the movie.Din know that this can happen to real life too. Well, the security and ambulance came so super slow sia...I see the man shook so hard and splatting so much blood till he could hardly move and like dying like that...Haiz...Really pray that he will be fine ba...But I think he was already dead when the ambulance came la...cos there's really so so so much blood.Anyway,took a video at kiehl's (too paisei to take at the accident scence) when the ambulance ppl is rushing him to the ambulance...

IMH Here I Come!!!

Yay!!!Finally really signed the contract with IMH already. Hopefully this will make me feel like a license for me to live my dreams rather than feeling like a bond that imprison me in the cruel working world ba.Haha.

This is the photo that I took using the school's passport photo machine.Cost me 5 bucks sia!Got 3 tries in it and I used up all the 3 tries...Later on i figure out that problem is not in the machine but my face..So even 10 tries also no use..Haha..So I just settled with one of the 3 tries. This photo will become the photo in my working pass. So cool rite?Haha!Hopefully they will use photoshop to make the photo brighter and whiter.Cos the way I see it is still way too dark. I am sure alot of ppl is gg to ask me whether I am a chinese again.Haha.

Anyway, took a picture of the IMH shuttle bus schedule as well. Shall keep it in my phone or something. Cos it will be a transport that I will be taking often soon.hee...and just in case my friends need it too ba.hee.

One of the suprise that I got today is that staff in IMH is not considered a Civil Servant. So diaoz rite?We are serving the public and yet due to the restructuring and such, we are not considered a civil servant. Sian...there goes my charlet bookings, civil servant bonuses and other civil servants benefits..Haha.Hopefully NHG (National Health Group) will serve us well ba.hee.

Went for the Medical check up 1st.My goodness.Another cm shorter....It's like everytime I go for height check, I will get shorter and shorter.There was once I was 169cm, before I go for this check up is 168cm and now............167cm=.=....

I suspect it's the weighing machine that would hit my head everytime I measure that makes me shorter...Haha..

One of the greatest highlight that I had is shaking hand with president Nathan and his wife too!!!!How cool is that ya?Hope he can remember my face....then next time he sees me he will raise my salary and lower my GST ....Haha...

A great Saturday had past last week with busy and hectic programs that followed back to back with each other...
If you ever heard of me saying about attending a youth cell group in the afternoon...this is the one..

Ain't they young, good looking and youthful? I was once like them too...handsome, young, jumpy and energetic...But now I am like an Old uncle...Any kid that sees me now calls me "Tommy 叔叔" (Uncle Tommy) instead of "Tommy 哥哥"(Brother Tommy)......

So sad rite?Upgraded so fast...I think in no time, i will be upgraded to "Tommy伯伯"(An even older version of uncle Tommy)..Haha...anyway, back to the topic. We had a great feast of pot luck and everyone brought super duper lot's of food for just 10 people!!!

Anyway, we are now joking about kaixin and benjamin getting married. As you can see in the 1st photo, both of them does not like to take photos. So if they ever get married, they will save so much money on wedding photos and such!!!!On their wedding day, maybe both of them will wear a mask and walk around...maybe make it a mask wedding party...otherwise their face confirm kana captured on cam one lor...haha..

Anyway, we got so much food that we cant finish. And it showed God blesses us so much such that we can go and bless other people...Really thank God for the english congregation youth for their hungry stomache.Hence, we can give all the food to them and would not waste the food. One youth shouted:" Thank you so much!Chinese congregation youth rocks!" I replied:" Haa..No problem... Thank God for it. Our small appetites rocks."

After the heavy meal, we played captains ball...

YEAH!Benjamin finally caught in photo.....Haha..

Anyway, after the youth fellowship, I attended my own fellowship. On that day, I have to lead singspiration. But well, me and my musicians did not have enough time to practise or reherse. Hence, I told them before we start..."So? Are we ready to be moved by the Spirit?"haha...well, that's the only thing we can do already. But luckily it turned out fine.Although had one or two slips on how to start singing the songs and such.Haha..

After my holy holy bible study in church, IT'S PARTY TIME!!!!!

Me and Esther went for Colin's birthday at Dragonfly.

It was so dark and noisy...really cant stand it sia.Haha...maybe I had really grown out of it already....But still had alot fun drinking, dancing and laughing at ugly fat aunties dancing sexy dances...no wonder so many people vomitted in dragonfly that nite...Haha..

Anyway, the songs were a mix of english and chinese songs. Some very old songs like "对你爱爱爱不完" was also presented..I was about to spill my drinks when I saw them dance sia..SO SUPER FUNNY!!!!

Anyway, the singers sounded quite good. And they look quite cool on stage too.So I asked esther, how come they did not go and become real singers instead..

The answer arrived right after we went out of the pub. Saw one of the singers outside..MY GOODNESS!He looked so old sia!Like some 40 plus years old uncle trying to act like 20s....no wonder they become singers in this kinda dark places instead...Haha...Hope i dun get beaten up for blogging this ba...*cross fingers*

Thanks Jeremy for sending us home sia...If not, I think the taxi fare will be even more expensive than the entrance fee liao.Haha!

Phew...finally have time to sit down and do blogging again. Everyday I am so looking forward to share my stuff here.But well, time is always not on our side for all people.

Anyway, as you all know....I don't look chinese....

If you can still remember, whenever we had our language composition exam, all races will take the exam in the same classroom. Malays and Indians students are given foolscrap while chinese students are given 作文纸(the type of paper where there are a lot of boxes in it for writing). Well, as you had expected, I always kana the foolscrap paper! -.-"

Event #02:In Junior College....

There was this wonderful camp that I signed up for when I was JC 1. The camp is a 华文文化营（Chinese cultural camp). When I arrived happily with all my luggage to the registration table, the person frowned abit at me and say " Oh, the indian cultural camp is right beside.Just go out of the door and turn left can liao.."

All i can do is smile and say" well, wat do you know?Indians cannot learn about chinese cultures meh?"......

Event #03: On the street

Well, this always happened. If you notice, there is always this man at tampines interchange or outside tampines mrt station who is selling some green tickets. I think this is some muslim festival tickets or such and usually they only approach malays. Well, there is this happy month of hari raya. And this person approach me and speak to me in very fast malays trying to sell me the tickets.....4 days in a row!!! And everytime I will just tell him I am chinese and don't understand what is he saying. But he will still find me the next day...maybe hoping that I will accept my own identity and turn malay overnite and buy his tickets..Haha...

There was this time when i went to buy food at a certain food court. The auntie in that store are ard her 40s maybe. She spoke chinese to all the customers infront of me asking them wat food they wan and such. And sadly to say, I am the only one that she used her broken english on. When i answered in chinese even though she spoke english to me, I can see her eyes became bigger and brigthened up, the corner of her mouth started to twitch, and there I was bringing relieve and joy to some auntie.....once again.....

You know what?God is a Gracious God. He always bless me with many many things. And Today!Right in the morning!He blessed me with 2 Bananas...

You may think what so great about bananas rite?Let me tell you this. The NUS Arts canteen bananas are so popular that it's usually sold out completely before 10am!Serious!If u reach at 10.01am, the aunti will tell you "Sorry ah boy. Too late for u. No more banana for u."I had received that tormenting, heart breaking and saddening statement for almost consecutively 3 times this week!But well, Thank God, Today I finally have my dose of BANANAS...2 SOMEMORE!!!

My friend was telling me "Tommy, you die liao. You getting addicted to bananas already."
Me: " Well, that might explain the seemingly increase of body hair on my body..."

Anyway, my social work friend passed me the goodie bag for social work day which falls on 15th April. Really Thank God for blessing this lazy bum (which is me) with caring and helpful friends to help me collect and pass it to me.

This is what the goodie bag has on its surface as a design defining social worker.

Social Workers are often seens as volunteers...But no man!WE DRAW MONTHLY SALARY!!!Not that we don't have a good heart and want to cheat the society's money. But we still have families to take care of and need to eat and live k?How to help others when we are the one that needed the most help 1st rite?Haha...

This is what we paid $30 for....a bag,a polo-tee, a card holder and a notepad...

Haha..No la..We will still have a Dunno-how-many-course dinner at Mandarin Hotel next tuesday.Hope the food is gd...haha!

Today I got this wonderful talk...although I half fell asleep....by 2 alright looking shiseido girls in the Perfume and Cosmetic Class. They had given us alot information on skin cares and make ups (and maybe that's the reason i fall aslp...). Well,my focus of blessing is not about the 2 shiseido girls la.It's the SAMPLES that we can receive!!!!

This is the men's skin care sample. Din even know shiseido got men's range.Haha...

This is the ladies' make up sample. I took one set and gave to my mum.Hopefully she will thank God for such a filial son who remembers her whenever he(me) see ladies samples. haha..

The Highlight of the day is the Planet Shaker Concert!!!Really thank God for Jason who has the tickets! (Not that I dun thank God for him when he dun hav the tickets la..haha..)

Really had a great worshipping time and great moment with God. Btw, it's a great workout with all the jumping, hand raisings and standing most of the time. No wonder christians that are from churches that have this kinda worship always looks slimmer.Maybe shall implement to my church one day and call it the "Slimming worship service" to attract the big crowd of people with the intention of slimming down. Confirm works sia!My church will expand a hundredfold after this implementation sia.Haha!

Anyway, saw my social work classmates there too. Really Thank God for these people as all will one day come out to work for the society and improve the well being of others.

Oh...btw, I share add one more section to my blog..."Taste of Honey". It shall contains meaningful statements that I had heard or read somewhere such that everyone can think about them. 3 Big Events...

This is my 3 rd Post and there comes 3 big events that happened all in one day!!!haaa...

Event #1: MY SSD Presentation

Well, My Single Subject Design Presentation is finally over today.Phew...
My topic is on "Overcoming My Phone Phobia".
As far as everyone who knows me, I hate using the phone. No matter who the person on the other line is, I will just get more and more irritated as times goes by.
Well, everything went well and I was pleased that my classmates and lecturer laugh at my jokes..and even things that are not even jokes...
Here are the stuff they laughed about..

1) "Dear class, Today I am going to present to you my SSD, "Overcoming My Phone Phobia". Long long time ago, when I was young, innocent and handsome..." (I also dunno why they laughed at this point of time. Can't I be young,innocent and handsome before?haha..)

2) " Guys are like PCs. We can only open only one window at a time. Unlike girls, They can watch tv,listen to radio, read magazines, eat snacks,chat on msn, AND STILL TALK WITH YOU ON THE PHONE!"

3)" My friends had told me that 'Tommy, you can never find a girlfriend if you insist on not talking on the phone. If you find the right one, you will sure be willing to talk to her on the phone.'
I replied ' Well, not that I do not want to chat with the right one. It's just that the Right one usually becomes the Wrong One after the phone conversations...' "

Event #02: Biotherm refresher training

In the afternoon, I went to Biotherm with Issac for a refresher course for my job on friday and sunday. Well, God blesses me so much that I got something on on saturday. Because that's when the brand manager will come down and throw questions to the sales person. Poor Issac would be the one to be questioned. SO ISSAC, JIAYOU AND STUDY HARD ON THE PRODUCTS HOR..hee..

Anyway, Just making a note here for myself to remember as well, There are 3 functions of PTP (Pure Thermal Plankton) that's the key ingredient in all products of Biotherm.
1) Boost Skin cell regeneration
2) Calm and sooth skin (Increase skin tolerance against irritations)
3) Perfect affirmity with our skin. ( it's 85% similar to our skin DNA)

and the latest discovered function is that PTP strengthen/boost skin cells natural defensive system.

Let's hope I can either remember these stuff, or I dun get asked by anyone on my working days.Haha..

Event #03: IMH

After my anxious waiting for my application to be a Medical Social Worker in IMH, I finally got a reply today. I AM ADMITTED!!!!!!opps...I mean I was being accepted to the job.Hahaa...

Praise God!!!!Never did I thought I would really succeed in the interview and got accepted. Cause I have to compete with many other social workers that are much more experienced and steady. Really want to thank God for the job. Let's hope He keeps me there and dun get me fired within one month.Haha...

So exciting...Can't wait to faster graduate and make my learnings practical!!!

This is from one of my superiors "R" that I had attached at in SAAC teaching me some philosophy about dating....Not really crazy, But i think is quite true and useful too....The conversation was as such..

R:So Tommy, Do you have girlfriend?
Me: Not yet. Waiting for God to drop me one from the sky.
R: Well Tommy, You gotta put in more effort in this area. Dating is like fishing. Even if God helped you to throw the fish food and gathered the fishes infront of you, You still need to lower down the Fishing Line and fish them out.

Hooray!Wah, Thanks everyone for viewing and tagging sia!Din expect this kinda blog thingy could invite so many visitors.Haha..

Anyway, today I shall share with u all about some stupid phone caller(SPC) who had called me thrice and the conversation seemed to repeat itself.

SPC:"Good morning sir, Are you Mr Ka Wing Cheng?"
Me: "Er...ya..what's up?"
SPC:"I am calling from ***. We are having a premium insurance plan for you and this promotion is unique and exlcusive for *** members only,"
Me:" Ok, So what's it about?"
SPC:" So MR KA....."
Me:"....."

My goodness, Can't they even differentiate what's first name and last name? It's perfectly fine that they call me Ka Wing Cheng as some people place surname behind, like calling Tommy Cheng. But my goodness, to put my surname as "KA"!!!!!Now my dad becomes a LEG because of this SPC's stupidity. (Btw, If you dun understand, KA means leg in hokkien.)

Well, anyway I did not correct him. Even though he called me three times on different days ,making the same mistake and looking for "Mr Ka". This is a better punishment than embrassing him by correcting him. Cause he will sure commit the same mistake and offend more people. Then there goes his sales....WHAHHAAAA(Evil Laughter)

Ok, Finally I have decided to set up a blog. Not that I want to publicise and tell the whole world what I am doing. But simply because I feel that this is a way I can at least record down some of my crazy thoughts , ideas and adventures and not let it "burnt" away by time. One of my motivations is my upcoming Mongolia trip. I thought I should at least have some place to put my experiences and not let my money go into waste. Haha.

Well, if you were thinking why I put chickenwing as part of my blog name, please take into account of my chinese name: Cheng Ka Wing. What else does it sounds like rite?Haha!Well, Hope to share more with whoever is going to read this more next time then.
